Firefox 3.5 arrives
Posted June 30, 2009 – in: Blog, WebI just installed it. It takes a little getting used to. Some of the GUI has changed (size of the tabs which make overall screen space larger but is a little unusual at first), overall changes make it feel faster. The rendering engine feels smooth and I can’t wait to try some embedded media. Welcome home HTML 5!

Posted June 19, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhoneAs all new hot tech devices end up. Someone has decided to rip it apart to look at the differences/upgrades and evaluate the cost of the product (or how badly the consumer is getting screwed). The iPhone 3Gs autopsy revealed some very interesting specs. It appears that the processor is clockable to over 800 mhz and the graphics are capable of pushing 720p video. Will jailbreakers be overclocking soon?

The video shows off the new features of iPhone 3.0 firmware (landscape email, etc.). I did not yet pick up the Pre or a new iPhone. I have issues with both. The Pre is a great OS but needs better hardware (larger keyboard, better plastic) and the iPhone and it’s horrible carrier.

Posted June 11, 2009 – in: Blog, Games, SonyTeam ICO is back with a new adventure titled “The Last Guardian”. Details about the actual story are scarce but from what I have seen in the videos/screenshots it looks like a story about a boy and his Griffin.

Posted June 10, 2009 – in: Blog, Games, Sony, Valve, xbox 360I am excited for Lost Planet 2. After playing the demo on XBL but passing on a retail copy, I finally picked it up cheap on the PC (thanks Valve). After playing it for a few hours I realized how great it is. The monsters are epic and the tension is good. Capcom revisits the franchise and takes us out of the cold. However, I worry that the locale of the first title will hurt sales for what will most likely be an amazing game.

Posted May 18, 2009 – in: Blog, GamesI for one am somewhat excited about this game. The graphics look great and since you can use the classic controls, I won’t have to flail around looking foolish and punching my dog in the head accidentially. Here’s a video review from Gametrailers.
