Open Source Thank You!

I would like to give a shout out to the Open Source projects that make SickPillz possible

Ubuntu – I was brought up on Slackware but learned to love Ubuntu. Sure I can compile it but apt-get is so easy.

CentOS – Currently my hosting providers platform. Seems relatively smooth and light. Though I am no fan of RPMs.

Apache – Microsoft tries to make all kinds of claims against Open Source software but one thing is undeniable. APACHE IS “THE” WEB SERVER OF THE NET!

MySQL – I love MySQL. It’s lite, fast and highly scalable.

Wordpress – Probably the most straightforward blogging software. The plugin selection is amazing and the community support is excellent as well.

Notepad++ – Amazing editor with syntax highlight for a wide array of languages. For when I am not using Linux.

Firefox – This browser should need no introduction. If it does than you need help. The sheer amount of add-ons for FireFox make everyone from a web developer to general web surfer’s dream.
