Posted July 10, 2009 – in: Blog, Cell Phone, Linux, Palm Pre, Technology

And it’s done. The Pre is now hackable and can be moved over to Verizon. The price for a pre on eBay is roughly $350. Hmmmmm.

Video: Palm Pre caught playing with GSM SIM in Vietnam – Engadget

Posted June 30, 2009 – in: Blog, Cell Phone, Linux, Palm Pre, Technology

WTF! After seeing this I would say that bringing the Pre to AT&T will be accomplished before bringing it to Verizon (at least by hack). Hmmm can I drop my SIM card in it?

Palm says no webOS SDK till end of Summer (and it matters because?)

Posted June 19, 2009 – in: Blog, Cell Phone, Palm Pre, Technology

It’s nice of Palm to say no to the SDK but haven’t they already been beaten to the punch? I mean if they’ve already got root, then the next step is “All ur Base are belong to us”. The mods coming out already are amazing.

iPhone 3G S gets torn apart, (update: could do 833MHz and 720p video) Overclocking anyone?

Posted June 19, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhone

As all new hot tech devices end up. Someone has decided to rip it apart to look at the differences/upgrades and evaluate the cost of the product (or how badly the consumer is getting screwed). The iPhone 3Gs autopsy revealed some very interesting specs. It appears that the processor is clockable to over 800 mhz and the graphics are capable of pushing 720p video. Will jailbreakers be overclocking soon?

iPhone 3G S review – A lot to like, but nothing you haven’t seen or expected.

Posted June 17, 2009 – in: Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhone

The Engadget review states what I have been saying about the latest iPhone release. Yeah the iPhone is a great device but all this upgrade really does is offer features the phone should have and could have done much sooner. It’s not the typical innovation we have come to expect from apple. I think the company is a little hesitant to make quantum leaps without Jobs at the helm (at least for now).

AT&T relents a little, lets iPhone 3G customers with upcoming upgrade dates buy 3G S at full subsidy

Posted June 17, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhone

Hooray for AT&T! (kind of). After the verbal lashing they have recieved over current gen iPhone users upgrading to the new 3Gs they decided to relent. Better yet. Hooray for the internets!
