Posted June 19, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhoneAs all new hot tech devices end up. Someone has decided to rip it apart to look at the differences/upgrades and evaluate the cost of the product (or how badly the consumer is getting screwed). The iPhone 3Gs autopsy revealed some very interesting specs. It appears that the processor is clockable to over 800 mhz and the graphics are capable of pushing 720p video. Will jailbreakers be overclocking soon?

Posted June 17, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhoneHooray for AT&T! (kind of). After the verbal lashing they have recieved over current gen iPhone users upgrading to the new 3Gs they decided to relent. Better yet. Hooray for the internets!

Posted June 17, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhoneBring your Portuguese dictionary but the video is still impressive. The video shows off the new features of iPhone 3.0 firmware (landscape email, etc.). I did not yet pick up the Pre or a new iPhone. I have issues with both. The Pre is a great OS but needs better hardware (larger keyboard, better plastic) and the iPhone and it’s horrible carrier.

Posted June 12, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Games, Technology, iPhoneThe iPhone is turning into the quite the gaming platform. Doom Resurrection is a great example of this. The new Doom on the iPhone is an on-rails shooter much like the 90’s arcade light gun games (Area 51, Timecop, etc.).

Posted June 12, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Linux, Palm Pre, Technology, iPhoneIt’s the first substantial piece of software brought onto the Pre via the Konami Hack. Now Doom has been ported to the platform with relative ease (and a few bugs of course). I knew a decent phone with linux for a brain was an awesome bad idea!

Posted June 11, 2009 – in: Apple, Blog, Cell Phone, Technology, iPhoneThis is how I see it. The “new” iPhone is an incremental upgrade. Yet AT&T in all their “wisdom” are basically screwing their customers yet again by delaying the new iPhone services, crippling some the best apps, and not subsidizing the new phone to current iPhone customers. I have a Gen 1 iPhone that I got “off contract” and have yet to upgrade. Why aren’t people more pissed about how bad these cellular carriers treat their customers?
