New Music – Avett Brothers

My friend has tried to get me to listen to the Avett Brothers for some time. Myself not being a fan of his other musical tastes (Greatful Dead, Bluegrass, etc.) discarded it as more hippie music that wouldn’t suit me in any way.

However, one day I decided to give it a shot after hearing part of a song on college radio which I mistook for a Violent Femmes song. After discovering who it was I apologized to my friend and picked up their album Emotionalism based on his recommendation.

After listening to the entire album I fell in love with this song. It’s titled “Will You Return?” and its one of those hopeful breakup songs. It has an amazing harmony and its upbeat tempo is great for listening to while your missing someone.
